History
The WCI story started back in 1986 when the original World Class International began life as a company built to provide consulting services based on ‘World Class’ manufacturing processes. The emphasis was, and still is, on ‘real benefits’ - defining and delivering tangible solutions to our clients' business challenges.
From the early 90's, with clients like Pfizer, Microsoft and Guinness, WCI were successful as a provider of supply chain management and business process expertise, but it became clear that to truly empower companies to move forward, process activity must be underpinned by best fit technology to make the solutions scaleable and robust.
The search began for a technology company with whom we had the right 'fit'. 2GL had started life to provide systems and support to PC/network users and had acquired to enhance service provision with internet, applications development and IT strategy consulting capability. The missing link was business consulting.
Since our merger in 2000 the company has grown through varied business environments - where our clients have been facing many pressures - but where we continually refine our learning and experiences to progress in the new world.
May 2006 sees a new beginning with WCI focusing on being an expert consulting and technology projects company and its service management and IT outsourcing capability being provided through Harmoni, the joint venture established in the previous year.
We are excited about the opportunity this provides us with to focus on our core strengths and depth of consulting expertise and look forward to a future helping our clients simplifying what they do.
