History
The WCI story started back in 1986 when the original World Class International began life as a company built to provide consulting services based on ‘World Class’ manufacturing processes. The emphasis was, and still is, on delivering real benefits - defining and delivering tangible solutions to our clients' business challenges.
From the early 90's, with clients like Pfizer, Microsoft and Guinness, WCI was a well-respected and successful provider of business process expertise. It became clear that to truly empower organisations to move forward, process activity must be underpinned by best fit technology to make the solutions scaleable and robust. This resulted in a merger in 2000 with 2GL, a technology company that provided internet, applications development and IT strategy consulting capability.
From that point, WCI's expertise as a consulting and technology company focused on areas that delivered exceptional value. Our successful projects were in a number of sectors including Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defence, and of course, Healthcare.
In September 2008 the healthcare team within WCI group was acquired by ASC Computer Software Ltd, part of the Ascribe plc group of companies. Now operating as WCI Healthcare, we bring to the Ascribe group clinical, technical and consulting experience to complement the range of healthcare products supplied by Ascribe plc.
