Jim Tizzard

  
 
 
 
Jim is CEO of TAKE Life Sciences and WCI Consulting Limited.  Jim’s career as a management consultant began in 1990, since then he has helped transform the performance of blue chip businesses in Europe, the USA, and India.
 
Before joining WCI in 2000, Jim was with PWC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand), Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Lucas Industries. Jim’s experience covers a range of industry sectors including Automotive, Aerospace and Defence, Chemicals, High Tech, Healthcare, and Pharmaceuticals.
 
 
 
 

 Chris Holmes

 
Chris has been with WCI for over 15 years and leads the European Practice.  He is an experienced business consultant in the European pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry, and brings leadership, sales, and delivery expertise to global product safety, compliance, and performance programmes.

Chris established WCI's two industry forums, pvnet® and pvconnect® which comprise of over 50 leading life science organisations.  The forums monitor performance and compliance, establish best practices, and develop the future of drug safety in response to changing regulatory requirements. 

Prior to working in the Life Sciences practice, Chris managed consulting engagements in UK Healthcare, including advising on improvements to patient care and waiting times for a number of NHS Trusts. 
Chris has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies

Mike Giffin

 

 
 
Mike joined WCI in 2001 after seven years with Gemini Consulting.  For the past sixteen years Mike has focused on the Life Science sector, but also has experience in the FMCG, Financial Services, Energy, and Retail sectors.
 
His role involves the management of key accounts, and the design and implementation of complex change programmes.  He has designed, sold, and led engagements in Europe, the USA, Latam, and Asia.  The scope of these engagements has covered Clinical Development, Sales and Marketing, Technical Operations, and Safety.
 
Prior to consulting, Mike spent seven years as an officer in the British Army.  He was a member of the Airborne Artillery and served in Northern Ireland, Belize, Hong Kong, Australia, and Germany.  Mike has a BSc in Psychology from University College London, and an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Marty Boom


 

Marty joined WCI in 1997 and leads the US practice.  Marty is an expert manager of change in the strictly regulated Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device industry; having worked with many of the top-20 pharmaceutical companies.  He has led large projects in Pharmacovigilance, Quality Management (including GCP, GMP, and GLP), Medical Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs.

Marty started his professional career with Solvay-Duphar, where he was responsible for setting up and commissioning a new sterile filling facility for syringes.  After five years in two non-pharmaceutical companies; mostly as Quality Manager, he joined WCI and returned to his roots in pharmaceuticals.  Within WCI, Marty has been leading the development of WCI's Quality and Medical Affairs services.
